We participated with Dandara de Braganza do Hungaro in the 10 breeds European Dog Show 03. 06. in Budapest at Hungexpo.
I consider myself lucky to have been able to launch her in such a major exhibition at the age of 10, which she clearly enjoyed. It was in that spirit that we set off that morning and participation was important. The judge was a Brazilian lady, Maria Clarice Silva de Oliveira (BR). 23 Fila brasileiro were entered, but 20 of those Fila appeared in the show. We entered the veteran class with an Austrian owned Fila lady who was also 10 years old. Dandara won the Veteran class, which goes along with the European Veteran Champion title and also got the Best Veteran title.
At the end we were in the race for the Breed of Breed title, which was won by a beautiful and almost two year old Spanish import, but Hungarian owned male. After the selection Best of Breed, the judge chooses another winner from the opposite sex, which is the Best Opposite Sex title. I wasn't really aware of this at the time, as I hadn't been to a show for a long time, but we were all the more pleased that the Brazilian judge had given us this title.
